Responsible for developing and overseeing management programs and technical staff to ensure compliance with federal, state, local and Corporate ESH requirements at Syracuse, Niagara, and Norfolk, VA MS2 facilities; associated test sites and field operations. Maintains business certification to voluntary programs recognizing excellence in ESH management systems including OSHA?s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP), ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 international standards. Formulates and executes required plans facilitating MS2?s ability to achieve Lockheed Martin Corporate initiatives such as Target Zero and Go Green. Position will be expected to be an active contributor to enterprise-wide MS2 ESH initiatives and program performance through the Center of Excellence (COE). Oversees management of site remediation programs and environmental liabilities including budget administration, planning and scheduling. Provides overall direction to subordinates as required; assesses performance and sets goals and objectives for individual and departmental objectives; coordinates subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, recognition/disciplinary action. Communicates with all levels of management including all responsibilities as dotted line member of site senior leadership team (SLT). Engages entire site employee population in ESH programs, including both represented and non-represented employees. Directs the assistance in planning for recognition, evaluation and control of potential environment, safety and health hazards through proper design and control; develops appropriate processes/procedures that address hazards in the workplace and manages the preparation of environmental impact statements and applications for all permits and renewals.
